Most of us have encountered situations in
our lives which made us believe that it is impossible to come out from it. It can be broken relationships, problems in
personal life or any such situation which makes us feel that things will never get better
or back to normal. We start to feel lost, devastated and dejected. This state of mental health is called Depression. Even the rate of suicides has increased due
to the acute level of depression, especially amongst teenagers. It is commonly found in human beings and according
to statistics, the rate of depression has increased than it was in the past decade. So, how can we come out from this state and
start leading a normal and happy life? The mental health drives our physical health. Keeping a positive mental health is the most
important thing for your body to function properly. The most important step to overcome depression
is to stop living in the past and recycling the negative memories in your minds. Life cannot be always good and jolly, right? You should never feel demotivated if you have
failed in your goal. The taste of success becomes better if you
experience failure and rejection in your life. Hence, it is important to accept failure to
get better at things. Our favorite actor and comedian Jim Carrey
has battled depression. Behind the funny face, there was hiding a
bitter sadness that was eating him up due to his personal problems. But, he made it a point to overcome his depression
and is still making us fall in love with him. There are several other examples of people
who have battled depression and have started afresh. Remember, it is never too late to start all
over again. If you are getting depressed, you need to
make an action plan and a routine for yourself that you will follow. It will help to get yourself together. Take small steps that you can succeed, it
will surely start to make you feel more confident. Gradually start doing exercises and get a
good amount of sleep which will surely make you feel better. It is also important to be around a company
that will make you feel positive. Talk to more people, talk about all the problems
you are facing with your near and dear ones. It will surely make you feel better and gradually
you will overcome your state of depression. As a friend, a parent or as a member of the
society it is also very important for all of us to help the ones who are facing or going
through a state of depression. It is our responsibility to help others if
they are having a hard time to come out from their problems. The most important thing would be to start
a conversation with someone who you feel is having difficulties in their day to day lives. You never know, your small contribution might
save a life. And as the saying goes, whoever saves a life,
saves the world entire!
